This is the story of a two-year-old boy named Ekco who receives a gastrostomy tube to help him get the nutrition his body needs. Months after his surgery, his family experiences a frightening moment when his tube accidentally slips out of his tummy.

Through love, learning, and support, “My G-Tube Fills My Tummy” helps children and families better understand life with a G-tube while encouraging inclusion, compassion, and confidence.

Disabilities can be found in everyone, although some are more obvious than others. Children should not have to feel ashamed of their special needs. This story was created so children with disabilities can read books and see characters that are like them. This is a reminder for all children to be proud of who they are, and to embrace all of their unique features!
